Protecting our Platypus- We can do it together
$15.00
In 2019, across two groups of the preschool children at Diamond Creek Memorial Kindergarten, a spark was formed. The spark started with a ‘Protect the Platypus’ sticker brought in by a child and her grandmother. Some children remembered seeing this sticker in the community before. When articles were in the paper showing hair ties and rings around the bills of Platypus, children were engaged and determined to let the community know how to change their ways.
Children wanted to write a book to put in libraries, cafes, schools and kindergartens to make sure people knew how to protect the Platypus, their Puggle babies and their homes in the Diamond Creek.
This books seems timely given recent the serious impact bush fires have had on our native animals. Help the children spread the word about our Platypus friends.
