EEEC works and networks with early years professionals in relation to Education for Sustainability in the early years in order to ensure a sustainable future. Integrating sustainable pedagogy in daily curriculum aligns with wellbeing for mind, body, spirit and world.

Learning Modules- ‘Sustainability from the Start’ is on the ECE Academy App (AppStore/Google Play) and offers eight learning modules around sustainability for early childhood educators. This was launched in September 2023 and is freely available in multiple languages. It was developed in collaboration with Kristianstad University, OMEP Europe and edChild.

Rights of the child – The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) has just published a General comment No 26 (2023) on Children’s Rights and the Environment with a specific focus on climate change.

This is a new initiative in the USA from the Aspen Institute, launched in late 2022 and it addresses education at all levels and climate change, inclusive of EC with relevant speakers.
